Harry Engstrom
Murals
Marysville, WA

Harry was born in Newcastle, WY in 1953 and has lived in the Pacific Northwest since 1980. His love for art and the outdoors translated into works of large scale while he was in High School.

He painted murals to pay for his college education and his repertoire now includes more than 50 large murals and many smaller ones spread over most of the western states and Alaska. Harry is currently completing a 285' mural entitled Native Species of the Puget Sound Area for the city of Arlington, WA that includes 400 different varieties of plants, animals, insects and birds.

When he is not painting murals Harry teaches art on a contract basis in public schools, makes himself available for public forums and speaking engagements and spends time researching for the next large project. He would rather be working on a mural of any subject than doing almost anything else, loving the extremity and challenge of the work, from laying on the ground to climbing scaffolding 30 feet high.
