Janet is primarily a plein aire landscape painter. She loves the expanse of light and color that one can only find outdoors. Although landscapes have been done before, she feels the art of observing nature, color and light is something that is not just "old" but "eternal."

Janet earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Kansas and has won numerous awards in both local and national shows, including distinction as the Arts Council Artist of the Year in 2001. Her work is exhibited in galleries throughout the Northwest.
