Kathleen Moore
Pastel Artist

Primarily Peppers

"I love the velvety, intense colors of pastel. The pure, dry pigments connect me to the Impressionists, to the prehistoric painters of Lascaux, to the earth."

Kathleen Moore's pastels are a celebration of color and form, often focusing closely on the details of the natural world. Like her pastels, Moore's sculptural work looks closely at tiny details to reveal a fascinating world of abstract form. Moore studied art and education at West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. Later, she studied painting at the Bruchion School in Los Angeles, California.

Currently, Moore teaches art and art history as a workshop instructor at the Edmonds Homeschool Resource Center.
