Acrylic Painting
My greatest inspiration comes from traveling the back roads of
the beautiful American West. The various Native cultures I’ve encountered
are particularly fascinating because of their own cultural identities
and heritage. There seems to me a sense of Spirituality that exists
in Nature, especially where Native people live. In 2001 while visiting
Canyon de Chelley National Monument in the Navajo Reservation I
asked our Navajo guide if this was a “Sacred” place. He replied
that “All of our Mother Earth is Sacred”. That simple statement
made a huge impression on me and I now strive to portray that sense
of Spirituality in my landscapes and Native-inspired artwork.
