Contemporary Basketry
Everett, WA
Drawing inspiration from Mother Nature, Beth molds organic materials and other fibers to form works of art; vessels and sculpture, which she trusts will invoke some connection with the human heart to the world of nature. Using traditional basketry techniques such as coiling and twining, her work strives to reflect the visible and invisible beauty and serenity that moves through all life. The viewer senses this by the presence and placement of color in her pieces. The movement of color is representative of a stream of thought that connects one's life to a higher source, the Creator. The materials, much like our thoughts, are fashioned into form creating unique vessels. Email
