Black and White Photography Contest

2009 Deadline: April 15, 5:00pm

The Arts Council of Snohomish County received more than 150 entries for its 2008 Black & White Photography Contest. The contest was open to all Snohomish County High School students. Photographs were judged in two categories, traditional analog prints and digital output prints. Three local well-known photographers served as judges: Cindy Burby, Randall Hodges, Bec Thomas.

The Arts Council of Snohomish County is pleased to honor the following local students: The Grand Prize winner of the 2008 Black & White Photography Contest is awarded to Jorden DeGaetano, a junior at Cascade High School for the entry 21st Century Madonna.

Award winners will be honored at the Opening Reception to our AEA exhibit, Generations: the Arts & Culture of the Tulalip Tribes on Thursday, May 1 at 6pm at the Historic Monte Cristo, 1507 Wall Street in downtown Everett.

Black & White Photography Exhibit:

• The award winning pieces will be on display in our Gallery Store from

May 1-17.  Hours are M-F 10-5pm and Saturday 11-4pm.

• All entries including duplicates of the award winning pieces are on display at

the Future of Flight, 8415 Paine Field Blvd., Mukilteo, from April 24–May 22.  Hours are 8:30am-5:30pm daily.
